Profile of the Department:
The Institute of Paramedical Sciences was established in 2020, is dedicated to create and strengthen paramedical courses in Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states to meet the rising demand of skilled health workforce and contribute to the national mission of Skill India. The Institute is poised to develop as one of the best model paramedical school in India to play pivotal role to produce performance oriented paramedic professionals that would shape the destiny of India’s health care industry. It aims at developing competence and provides students with facilities for quality education, complete laboratory training and clinical exposure.
Jiwaji University, Paramedical Institute thrives to become the best institute in India, providing quality paramedic and allied health science education and skill to create industry ready professionals. We try to achieve the goals by providing high-tech laboratory facilities to the students. Along with the laboratory facilities, it works at providing qualified and experienced faculties to help students for acquiring hands-on training sessions. We have collaborated with Hospitals, diagnostic centers and various research labs to provide real time training experience to the students. Also, we emphasize on providing peer support and peer analysis for soft skill acquisition to the students.
The curriculum framed is approved by experts of each field, who have years of experience in their relevant field of work. The emphasize is given to provide avenues for their practical training. Paramedical Institute conducts several camps in remote areas, in order to do its bit in providing service to the community and mankind.
Tie up with hospital and organizations
The University developed linkages with the following two hospitals who would be participating in teaching and training programs of the Institute.
- District Hospital, Morar, Gwalior
- Parivar Hospital, Aamkho Gwalior.
These organizations would be associate with the institute in teaching as well as R & D activities of the Institute
About course | An undergraduate program which deals with the science of treatment that is carried through physical forces such as heat, electricity, mechanical pressure and mechanical forces. Therapy helps to treat disorders without using drugs. Physical therapy is done in order to maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the life span. |

About course | Medical technologists work in areas of the laboratory like Clinical Biochemistry, blood banking, immunology, Hematology, and Microbiology. Other areas include cytotechnology, phlebotomy, urinalysis, coagulation, parasitology and serology. Phlebotomists draw and test blood whereas blood bank technologists determine correct blood types for transfusions. Pathology technicians cut and stain tissue samples. |

About course | Diploma holders in medical technology work in areas of the laboratory like Clinical Biochemistry, blood banking, urinalysis, parasitology and serology. The medical lab technicians work under technologists or supervisors and do routine laboratory testing manually. Technicians prepare specimens and operate machines that automatically analyze samples. They also prepare standard solutions which involve measuring and mixing the correct amount of various chemicals for use in the lab. |
